The real challenge of Brazilian cities
Brazilian municipalities vary enormously in budget, technical capacity and installed infrastructure. A proposal designed for large capitals with major operations centers does not automatically apply to mid-sized cities with small teams. Urban technology adoption needs to be phased, starting with concrete, measurable problems.
For that reason, we avoid recommending closed "smart city" packages. We prefer to identify the most urgent operational bottleneck — traffic, safety, waste management, water or energy consumption — and assess the technology that solves that specific problem first.

Public safety requires explicit safeguards
Any computer vision application in public space directly involves tension with privacy rights. We assess technologies considering anonymization, data retention limits, declared purpose of use and human oversight mechanisms before any recommendation on this front, and we advise that every project be accompanied by the municipality's own legal review.

Our role is to assess which technology modules actually integrate with the city's legacy systems, avoiding promises of full integration that rarely hold up in practice.
